Early in the year (January), Pistarckle Theater publicizes that we are seeking original, never-produced plays by people who have lived or are living in the Virgin Islands. The New Playwrights Festival has two entry categories: the Adult category for persons who are ages 16 and up; and the Children category for ages 15 and under.
The Vento Shakespeare Festival includes a one-week workshop for local area schools. The Festival is a teaching tool that teachers use to introduce Shakespeare to students in a fun and creative way. The Festival then culminates with a showcase at the Nisky Moravian Church where participating schools showcase their best ten minutes of a Shakespearean work in A Celebration of the Bard.

Having sufficiently prepared our after-school students with acting, singing, dance, and speech elocution classes, they now undertake their roles in a musical production attended by family, friends, and the larger St. Thomas community.
In the After-School program, students are exposed to four areas of musical theater performance: acting, singing, dance, and speech elocution. Each class is held once a week for two hours each day.
The Leadership Camp focuses on developing life and career skills through playwriting and theater performance via a model of instruction known as active learning. With our Leadership Camp, participants are engaged in the three learning domains: knowledge, skills, and attitudes (KSA), which is vital for dynamic and innovative 21st century leadership.
Every year, the Pistarckle Theater Musical Theater Summer Camp gives our local students an opportunity to interact with guest artists, as well as students from various schools, racial/ethnic backgrounds, and socioeconomic levels. Students study with a talented director and intern assistants, learning to sing, dance, and act in various roles during several musical theater performances for other summer camps, friends and family, and the larger theater community at Pistarckle Theater during the last week of the summer camp.
The 2017 play selected is Disney's The Lion King JR. For more details, click here
